ABOUT

ABOUT BISSA VILLA

Bissa Villa is located less than a 1 minute walk from Palugaswewa railway station, in Palugaswewa - North Central Province, Sri Lanka. Palugaswewa is a small farming village next to Habarana town, surrounded with paddy fields, jungles and reservoirs ('-wewa' means reservoir in Sinhala). Our place 'Bissa Villa' is named after traditional Sri Lankan rice storage called "Bissa" (see picture), reflecting the character of the widespread paddy fields in our neighborhood.

Bissa Villa is situated in the centre of the Cultural Triangle, making it an ideal hub to access popular destinations such as Sigiriya, Polonnaruwa, Anuradhapura, and Kaudulla National Park, to name a few, either by public transport or car.

Very peaceful and tranquil environment with a lot of nature and fresh air. You can spot various wild animals and birds visiting our garden frequently (such as a family of peacocks) during your stay.

There are a variety of fruits, vegetables and spices grown in our garden and they are used in our meal. When it's in season, you can enjoy fresh and tasty mangoes and coconuts. We offer best authentic home made Sri Lankan meal freshly cooked in our kitchen, which can't be tasted in a normal restaurant outside.

If you prefer escaping from busy Habarana town centre and prefer more authentic Sri Lankan experience, Bissa Villa will be the one you are looking for.

We hope you can feel home during your stay at Bissa Villa.
